QA Flow and Rollback Strategy
QA Flow:
- Content authoring: Editor creates variant content in the CMS with experiment metadata.
- Preview: Use CMS preview tokens or staging environments to view each variant before publishing.
- Staging deployment: Deploy variant content to a staging environment. Verify rendering for all variants using preview URLs or forced-bucket query params.
- Flag activation: Enable the experiment in the experimentation platform for a small percentage of traffic (canary rollout).
- Monitoring: Watch for rendering errors, CLS spikes, analytics anomalies, and SEO impact (Search Console).
- Full rollout: Increase traffic split to 50/50 (or per test design).
Rollback Strategy:
- Instant rollback via feature flag: Disable the experiment flag in the experimentation platform. Users immediately see the control variant. No redeployment required.
- CMS-level rollback: Revert variant content to a previous version using the CMS version history. Trigger a rebuild via webhook.
- Cache invalidation: Purge CDN cache for pages under test to ensure the rollback is immediate.

Week-by-Week Breakdown
Week 0–1: Foundation
- Choose experimentation approach: CMS-driven variants vs platform-driven.
